Our Story

A Vision Inspired by Nature & Life

Ilula comes from the ancient African language Swahili, and means “easy or lighter”, which is the feeling that we seek to create for all our guests. At Ilula, we create all our retreats, workshops and treatment to support this philosophy. We believe that well-being is an expression of feeling lighter in all aspects of life; physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Wide open-landscapes give us the full range of the sun, from dawn till dusk. Our retreat location embodies this ambience which to us, makes it the perfect place to revitalise and embrace greater lightness in life.
